The S.C.G.A.G. is a Gospel Radio Broadcasting organization whose membership consists of: On-Air Personalities; Music Directors, Sales Managers; Owners/Managers of radio stations throughout the entire Southland.
Our Associate members consists of: Record Companies/Manufacturers; Major Distributors; Gospel Publications, Print Media (any gospel articles/paragraphs, etc.); Performing organizations; Television/Gospel video shows (including TV gospel specials); and Artists.
Mission:
The mission of the affiliate guild should be to:
Actively seek to raise the level of proficiency and quality of promotion and marketing of the entire Gospel Music and Religious Broadcasting industry, for the purpose of increasing awareness and penetration of Gospel Music.
Goals and Objectives:
Each Guild is encouraged to establish goals relative to their areas; however, the general goal and objective of the National GAG shall be embraced by all affiliate Guilds. They are to:
1. Increase broadcasting time of Gospel Music in their areas.
2. Disseminate information on advancing technologies and trends in Gospel Music.
3. Facilitate a network for all areas of Gospel Music, (Radio, Retail, Print Media, Television, Record Companies, Gospel Publications, Distributors, Artists, and One Stops).
4. Provide the marketplace with a greater understanding of Gospel Music’s effect on life-styles and quality of life in their community.
5. Expose new Gospel artists to all styles of Gospel Music.
6. Broaden the variety of Gospel Music presentations.
7. Develop workshops and seminars that provide increased knowledge and continuing development of members’ skills.
