Southern California Gospel Announcers Guild (SCGAG)
The S.C.G.A.G. is a
Gospel Radio Broadcasting organization whose membership consists
of: On-Air Personalities, Music Directors, Sales Managers,
Owners/Managers of radio stations Record Companies/Manufacturers,
Major Distributors, Gospel Publications, Print Media (any gospel
articles/paragraphs, etc.), Performing organizations,
Television/Gospel video shows (including TV gospel specials) and
Artists throughout the entire Southland.
The S.C.G.A.G’s purpose
is to create a unified body that serve the state of California.
S.C.G.A.G's purpose is to increase the knowledge and reach of
gospel music in America and throughout the globe, creating a
greater acceptance of this original black music art form. To
preserve and expand the rich heritage of gospel music while
integrating the ever evolving contemporary expressions. Also,
SCGAG’s goal is to raise and maintain a high level of quality and
proficiency in religious broadcast presentations, with the focus
to open new lines of communication and to strengthen existing
lines between artists, manufactures, distributions, retailers, and
announcers.
